Well, the summer has officially begun! And remember how freaked out I was about what I was gonna do with a 7 year-old for 74 days? Well for the first six of those days, I’m taking her to WEST VIRGINIA!  Yes, THAT West Virginia. Almost heaven, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River, John Denver West Virginia. Why? We at MAMMAKAZE are visiting relatives (my dad’s side).

Specifically, Julia’s going to see her Great Grandmother (age 94) whom she hasn’t seen since she was 18 months old (Julia that is, not her great grandma)! She’s also seeing her Grandma and Great Aunt as well as other relatives. It’ll be a real treat and an important life lesson in family and heritage.

I mean as moms, it’s our job to find life lessons in everything, right? And we don’t want them all to come from Miley Cyrus movies cuz, well, everyone dresses WAY TOO WELL, are WAY TOO THIN and their teeth look like they’ve never come in contact with a cup of coffee.

I want Julia’s life lessons to be REAL. Like me. Okay, Maybe not THAT REAL. After all, she’s just a kid.

BUT THERE WILL BE POSTS! I’m too anal for there NOT to be! They just might not be as “regular” as usual.  So check in frequently. And in the meantime, catch up on older posts you might have missed.

1) Randy the perfekt husband says the WRONG THING about how jeans make my butt look.

2) Movie Review of LAND OF THE LOST -yeah, I paid to see it.
