Hey MAMMAKAZES! Hello from beautiful West Virginia! Remember how we’ve been posting all those Lo-Cal drink recipes to help with the summer weight loss? Well, forget about it! We’re on vacation, baby! And who watches their calories when they’re on vacation? Unfortunately, not me!

So in keeping with the laid-back, friendly spirit of the South (and the sobering fact that we are only 7 days into a 74 day summer vacation), AND ALSO the fact that it has pretty much rained non-stop all week —  I present the following summer vacation libation courtesy of my Aunt Vada. Oh and try not to fixate on the fact that the word “cream” features so prominently in the recipe.

WEST VIRGINIA MUDSLIDE 

3/4 cups chocolate ice cream

2 oz. of heavy cream

1 1/2 ounces Kahlua

1 oz. Irish Cream

1 ounce of Vodka

Process in a blender until smooth. Pour into a tall glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. (Or don’t. They’re only for show and just end up on the napkin at the side of your drink anyway). Makes 1 serving.

And remember…don’t feel guilt and drive.
